This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in merchandising and buying, with exposure to retail math, category performance, and cross-functional collaboration.Major Activities\nCategory Strategy:Assist in the execution of category strategies that align with business goals and customer needs.\nConduct market and competitor research to support strategic decision-making.\nCollaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure category objectives are met.\n\nAssortment/Product Strategy:Support the development and maintenance of a balanced and customer-relevant product assortment.\nAnalyze sales performance and customer feedback to identify assortment opportunities.\nParticipate in product selection, line reviews, and seasonal planning.\nSet plannograms, label sku’s, and ensure accuracy through POG proofing\n\nMarketing & Promotions:Monitor pricing activity including promotions, markdowns, and competitive pricing.\nSupport the execution of promotional and pricing strategies by assisting with tasks like ad proofing.\n\nFinancial Plans:Track performance against financial metrics and assist in identifying areas for improvement.\nAssist in preparing Financial Reports\n\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field preferred\n2+ years of merchandising or equivalent experience preferred\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills.
