This position is responsible to ensure Camso manufacturing equipment and processes remains the best in class. Support manufacturing solution requests from business line or plant for improved processes.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nEvaluate, develop, implement and/or improve on processes in manufacturing systems for safety, process capability and efficiency while maintaining and improving quality standards.\nMonitor and assess performance of plans and/or processes to make improvements or take corrective action, to optimize efficiency through various work cells and operations.\nSupport the production start-up of new products, processes and equipment into production, while collaborating with the material and product development teams to insure manufacturability of the product.\nIdentify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.\nDetermine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes, considering relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.\nWork in multidisciplinary team with Engineering, Product development, Manufacturing and Sales advocating, promoting and practicing cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions.\nImagine / create robotized, automated, and manual manufacturing concepts\nResponsible to find and implement innovative solutions to be capable to make and meet customer request.\nCreate and present, budget, timeline and action plan for projects\nEducation required\nBachelor degree in engineering or relevant experience in a related field\nExperience required (number of years, field, position, achievements…)\nExperience within the rubber industry is an asset\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing processes and products, mechanical and electrical standards\n5 years manufacturing and project engineering\nOther knowledge / technical requirements or professional information, languages, travel required\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.\nExcellent level of spoken and written English\nKnowledge of Allen-Bradley Logix PLCs and HMIs\nKnowledge of machine controls.\nExperience with AutoCAD.\nKnowledge of the tools and processes involved in product development (e.g. Design for Six Sigma, DOE, PFMEA, DFMEA, etc.) preferred.\nCreativity and entrepreneurship\nStrong mechanical and Industrial engineering understanding (especially for equipment and MFG systems)\nStrong leadership\nKnowledge of the statistical control of processes preferred.\nTravelling outside the office required 15% of the time\nAttributes / Soft skills (Interpersonal, commercial, managerial, flexibility…)\nSelf-motivated; takes initiative, works with a minimum of supervision.\nCapability to influence people from diverse trades and functions\nTeam player; works cooperatively with others to solve problems and willingly helps others\nDemonstrated business sense and customer focus orientation\nStrong organizational skills\nStrong analytical capacity\nEffective communication skills with peers, management, employees, customers, and vendors.\nReady to Shape the Future of Innovation?\nMichelin is building a world-leading manufacturer of life-changing composites and experiences.
