5+ years of hands-on experience in SQL development, database programming, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

• Build scalable and efficient database solutions with a strong focus on performance.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize slow-running queries and database workloads.

• Design and implement database schemas that support evolving business requirements.

• Develop ETL/data processing routines and automate database operations where appropriate.

• Collaborate with application developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust database solutions.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and privacy best practices are followed.

• Review, refactor, and improve existing SQL code for maintainability and efficiency.

• Participate in technical discussions, contribute ideas, and evaluate alternative approaches to solving problems.

• Stay current with emerging database technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of SQL development experience

• Strong expertise in:

• Experience troubleshooting production database issues.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good to Have

• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS).

• Exposure to cloud database platforms.

• Experience with CI/CD for database deployments.

Preferred Qualifications
