Position Overview
As a Procurement Specialist, you will support procurement and supply chain activities across large-scale hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects. Working closely with project management, estimating, preconstruction, project controls, engineering, operations, and field leadership teams, you will assist with sourcing materials and equipment, coordinating supplier relationships, managing procurement records, and tracking critical project deliveries.
This role serves as a key contributor to project success by helping ensure procurement activities align with project schedules, budgets, and execution strategies. Success requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Support procurement activities throughout project planning, execution, commissioning, and closeout.
- Assist with sourcing, supplier solicitation, bid evaluations, and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate material and equipment purchases in accordance with project schedules and budgets.
- Maintain procurement logs, vendor records, purchase orders, and supplier communications.
- Support vendor and subcontractor relationship management activities.
- Help identify procurement risks, supply chain constraints, and delivery challenges.
What You'll Do
- Support procurement planning efforts for civil, utility, concrete, electrical, telecommunications, fiber, power, and mission-critical infrastructure scopes.
- Work closely with estimating, project management, engineering, project controls, and field operations teams to support project execution.
- Assist with obtaining vendor quotations, supplier pricing, and subcontractor proposals.
- Track material releases, purchase orders, fabrication status, shipping updates, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate communications between suppliers, vendors, project teams, and field personnel.
- Maintain procurement documentation, vendor records, contracts, and project files.
- Monitor material lead times, supply chain conditions, and delivery commitments.
- Support procurement reporting, forecasting activities, and project status updates.
- Assist with receiving, tracking, and resolving procurement-related issues throughout project execution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement efficiency, consistency, and performance.

What It Takes
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related discipline and 2+ years of procurement, supply chain, construction, operations, project coordination, or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting procurement activities on construction, industrial, mission-critical, EPC, utility, power, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, purchasing practices, logistics coordination, and supply chain fundamentals.
- Experience obtaining vendor quotations, coordinating supplier communications, and maintaining procurement records.
- Ability to support procurement schedules, material tracking, purchase order management, and project reporting activities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems, procurement platforms, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Oracle, SAP, InEight, or related software is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with project management, estimating, engineering, field operations, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel approximately 75% and support long-term onsite project assignments throughout North America as required. Travel may include extended durations based on project assignments and business needs.
