The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, and compassionate with a drive to help animals and their owners.\nResponsibilities:\nGreet customers on the phone and in person in a friendly and professional manner.\nProvides excellent customer service to clients by setting appointments, processing prescription refills and food orders, assisting them with payments, and explaining payment processes and options.\nCheck patients in for their appointments by locating medical records and confirming services to be performed and method of payment.\nCheck patients out following their appointments by preparing and reviewing invoices, verifying charges, taking payments, selling medications and prescription food, and reviewing aftercare instructions with clients.\nPrepare patients for surgery admission by creating and locating medical records, reviewing medical history and preparing necessary paperwork such as release forms, cage cards, check-in sheets, ID collars, etc.\nProperly register microchips.\nCreate medical records for all adopted animals and shelter animals needing medical care\nMaintain lobby cleanliness and safety through general upkeep.\nPromote Michigan Humane programs and general goodwill among clients and staff.\nAttend special fundraising and adoption events as needed.\nQualifications:\nOutgoing personality with strong customer service skills.\nExhibits compassion towards animals and their owners.\nShow patience and understanding when communicating with clients.\nMust be flexible and able to handle stress in a fast-paced work environment.\nJoin our team at Michigan Humane and make a positive impact, grow your skills and career, and be part of a compassionate and dedicated organization.
