Fits and fabricates structural steel, completes layout, and inspects finished product.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:\nOperates press break machine using all safety equipment and following all required procedures\nRuns bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.\nUses a CNC controller to input information into machine.\nAdjusts ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints.\nChecks height, depth and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments.\nPerforms complex programming using all features of the press brake.\nWorks with tight tolerances.\nConfigures bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum & regular steel).\nChecks machine for defects and repair if necessary.\nEnsures machine is calibrated and cleaned.\nReads drawings and blueprints.\nProduces parts for assembly operations.\nMeets customer specifications and delivery requirements.\nPrograms the CNC to produce new parts meeting specifications.\nPerforms spot inspections of parts.\nPerforms all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.\nComplete and maintains required paperwork.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nKPI’S (Examples but not limited to)\n SAFETY\nDocumented Instances (Positive: Notifying about potential hazards/Negative: Not following documented procedures or adding to potential risk)\n QUALITY\nDocumented Instances (Internal/External)\nSheet Efficiency\n ON TIME DELIVERY (OTD)\n95% OTD or high per Production Order Delivery Date\n PRODUCTIVITY\nEfficiency (100%) - To reduce total labor time. Discussions should occur if time estimate is considered too low.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nHigh School diploma or GED preferred. \nMust have basic computer skills.\n1 year of experience minimum preferred\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read, write, comprehend and convey simple instructions.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
