This role focuses on troubleshooting and resolving client issues related to microcontrollers/ microprocessors, embedded firmware, software ecosystem, etc. They work individually and collaboratively with peers to address client’s hardware and firmware/software challenges, contribute to team infrastructure, AI initiatives, deliver training and provide direct support to the global community.\nResolve customer issues through case tickets, live chat, and phone support.\nGuide mass-market customers through embedded hardware, firmware, and software design challenges.\nApply familiarity with machine learning and AI frameworks to emerging support needs.\nAnalyze root causes and document clear, actionable technical findings.\nCreate example source code, knowledge-base articles, application notes, chatbot content, reports, and other technical resources.\nAnalyze electrical schematics.\nCollaborate with product engineers, applications engineers, field support, peers, and sales teams to address case trends and improve customer outcomes.\nDeliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training for customers and internal teams.\nStay current on industry standards, product roadmaps, and emerging technologies.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline; (Master’s preferred).\n2.5-5 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware, hardware design, or embedded systems development.\nStrong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded applications.\nSolid understanding of embedded hardware, firmware, and software design principles.\nProven ability to debug hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electronic lab tools.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.\nCollaborative team player able to work effectively across global engineering, applications, and customer-facing teams.\nFamiliarity with AI and machine-learning technologies and their application to technical support or engineering workflows.\nExperience with Microchip products, development tools, or networking protocols (preferred).\nExperience with Ethernet, networking technologies, or connected embedded systems (preferred).\nTravel Time:\n0% - 25%Physical Attributes:\nHearing, Seeing, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around OthersPhysical Requirements:\nsitting 90%Microchip Technology Incis an equal opportunity/affirmativeaction employer.
