Job Description:

1. Review information collected for submitted customer quality incidents, request additional details if necessary, or provide appropriate disposition.

2. Assemble and lead cross-functional teams to resolve customer quality incidents using the 8-Discipline (8D) problem-solving process.

3. Communicate and coordinate requests for failure analysis, root cause investigation, and identification of corrective and preventive actions with relevant groups. Prioritize submitted requests and provide timely intervention as needed.

4. Ensure proper risk assessment and action plan to contain, correct and prevent customer quality incidents.

5. Update the customer incident management database promptly and ensure data integrity.

6. Generate and deliver reports or updates for customer communication up to the closure of the quality incident.

7. Verify the sustained implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions according to the defined schedule.

8. Analyze data and drive actions to achieve systemic improvements in product quality and the customer quality incident management process.

9. When required, participate in assessing the risk of product changes or RMAs, and ensure appropriate risk mitigation actions are implemented.

10. Prepare and analyze data related to key performance metrics, define and implement improvement actions to achieve targets, and publish data as appropriate.

11. Complete assigned tasks to support project completion as directed by the project leader, and report task status at relevant review forums.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Education Level

Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering preferably in the field of Electronics or Electrical.

Working experience

Has a minimum of four (4) years relevant experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment with work experience from Quality and Reliability, Failure Analysis, Product and/or Process Engineering.

Other Requirements

1. Good knowledge and experience about the following topics:

  • Semiconductor manufacturing processes and controls from wafer fabrication, assembly, testing and up to warehousing and shipping.
  • Semiconductor product function, specification, reliability, and application.
  • Seven basic quality tools, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plan, 5-Why, Fault Tree, and 8-Discipline Problem Solving.
  • Integrated circuit (IC) failure analysis flows, equipment, and tools. In addition, the various failure modes & mechanisms.
  • Standards related to ISO, Automotive and others applicable to the semiconductor industry.
  • Statistics or Six-sigma knowledge

2. Able to coordinate and execute multiple tasks consistently and successfully.

3. Satisfactory to good leadership and analytical skills.

4. Good written and verbal English communication skills.

5. Computer literate, with knowledge in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power point, and other applications needed in the job.
