The role involves working closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to translate complex wireless and embedded technologies into clear, accurate, and customer-focused documentation.\nKey Skills\nStrong technical writing, editing, and information-development skills.\nGood understanding of wireless technologies, embedded systems, semiconductor products, and software/firmware.\nAbility to understand and document hardware features, register maps, APIs, commands, configuration parameters, and application workflows.\nExperience with technical documentation such as datasheets, user guides, application notes, developer guides, reference manuals, programming specifications, product briefs, and online documentation.\nExperience with XML/DITA, structured authoring, content reuse, and single-sourcing is preferred.\nFamiliarity with tools such as Oxygen XML Editor, Tridion Docs, FrameMaker, Inkscape, Jira, and Confluence is an advantage.\nStrong collaboration, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple deliverables and meet product release schedules.\nJob Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation for wireless SoCs, modules, development boards, and associated software/tools.\nWork with hardware, firmware, applications, validation, product management, and marketing teams to gather and validate technical information.\nIndependently own documentation deliverables from planning and content development through review and release.\nReview engineering specifications, register maps, and other technical inputs for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and usability.\nDevelop technical diagrams, tables, workflows, and other visual content as required.\nEnsure documentation follows Microchip documentation standards, templates, terminology, and editorial guidelines.\nDrive content reuse, structured authoring, and documentation process improvements across the wireless product portfolio.\nCoordinate technical reviews, resolve feedback, and ensure timely completion of documentation deliverables.\nLeverage AI and automation where appropriate to improve documentation development, review, and publishing efficiency.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with 5-8 years of experience in technical writing or technical documentation.\nTravel Time:\nNo TravelTo all recruitment agencies: Microchip Technology Inc. does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
