Job Description:
A failure analysis technician is responsible in providing failure analysis to support customer returns, qualifications, and other engineering evaluations. Collaboration with FA requestors and other cross-functional teams is also required. He/she must observe proper housekeeping, environmental, health, and safety protocols while doing his/her tasks.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Education Level
At least a graduate of technical/vocational course
Working experience
At least 2 years work experience in FA or similar discipline.
- Basic understanding of failure analysis flow.
- Basic knowledge and skill in performing non-destructive and destructive FA techniques.
- Basic knowledge and skill in operating failure analysis tools and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of basic semiconductor Fab, Assembly and Test process flow.
- Basic knowledge of chemical handling safety training.
- Basic skill in physical failure techniques.
- Intermediate knowledge in electrical testing and datalog interpretation.
- Intermediate skill in physical failure analysis techniques.
Other Requirements
- No known allergy to chemicals.
- Good vision and dexterity.
- Computer literate (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Able to extract, analyze, and report data as necessary.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Good analytical skills, self-motivated, team player, and able to proactively communicate with others.
- Can collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
- Ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
- Can understand and follow more complex procedures and instructions.
