The Inventory Control Clerk position supports factory operations by receiving, stocking and delivering parts and supplies. This includes both the physical transportation of materials and maintaining electronic and hard copy records. The organization is responsible for maintaining an optimal inventory of parts, materials and supplies to support 24x7 operations.\nThe schedule for this position is 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 PM\nTrain and operate in both shipping/receiving and an inventory warehouse\n\nReceive and stock parts and raw materials according to established procedures\n\nPull required parts and raw materials from stock and deliver to internal customers according to established procedures including FIFO\n\nFind and follow outlined procedures located in specification data base and training guide\n\nCycle count inventory of spare parts\n\nInventory raw materials, e.g. gases and chemicals\n\nUpdate or modify spare part and raw materials information\n\nProcess and review PIO’s (inventory purchase orders) for accuracy and need\n\nAccurately complete required computer entry and/or documentation to track inventory\n\nOperate lifting devices such as forklift and pallet jack\n\nPrepare product shipments\n\nCoordinate with Supply Management, expedite ‘down’ equipment parts, reorder low stock and repair parts shipments\n\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nHigh School or GED plus a minimum of 2 years work experience required\nMust be customer service oriented\nMust work well with others and independently\nGood verbal and written communication skills\nExperience with MS Office software\nData entry experience\nValid driver's license (to transport material as needed to off-site warehouse)\nPreferred Qualifications\nWarehouse/Stores/Shipping/Receiving experience in a manufacturing setting\nBaan/ERP system experience\nCritical Physical Requirements\nThe physical requirements described below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nUnassisted, the employee must regularly lift/carry and/or push/pull/roll objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/carry and/or push/pull/roll objects up to 65 pounds, occasionally lift/carry and/or push/pull/roll objects up to 75 pounds or team lift items 75-125 pounds\nAssisted (pallet jack, fork truck), the employee must routinely lift and/or push/pull/roll objects that weigh in excess of 1,000 pounds\nMust be able to work while sitting 40%; standing 30%; walking 30%\nAbility to carry out repetitive motion tasks\nPosition requires climbing of ladders, stairs, and/or stools for top-level selection\nRequires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations (typing, etc.)\nRequires handling, bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching\nRequires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.\nRequires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature, humidity, and noise\nThis is a Safety Sensitive position.\nThis position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.Travel Time:\n0% - 25%Physical Attributes:\nBending at Waist, Bending at Waist, Carrying, Climbing, Crawling, Crouching, Dust or gases, Electrical Hazards, Extreme Cold, Extreme Heat, Feeling, Foot Controls, Fumes or Odors, Handling, Hearing, Kneeling, Lifting, Mechanical Hazards, Noise and/or vibration, Other, Piece Work, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Seeing {+ 4 more}Physical Requirements:\nLiftingMicrochip Technology Incis an equal opportunity/affirmativeaction employer.
