People like you.\nVisit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!\nJob Description:\nJoin the Design Engineering team as Engineer II-Design supporting semiconductor architecture, RTL and circuit design, integration, verification, performance, power, area, documentation, and product lifecycle. This role is best suited for candidates with 2.5-5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or electronic design, RTL, digital or mixed-signal circuits, architecture, simulation, synthesis, integration, or a closely related area.\nIn this role, you will independently execute defined assignments, partner with relevant technical and business stakeholders, and help deliver reliable, high-quality engineering or service outcomes and continuous improvement.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and sustain semiconductor, circuits, IP, interfaces, subsystems, and design collateral.\nTranslate product, system, performance, power, area, reliability, test, manufacturing, and schedule needs into design requirements and plans.\nAnalyze specifications, simulations, timing, power, area, integration, defects, risks, dependencies, and technical tradeoffs.\nDebug design, simulation, integration, verification, implementation, and product issues; root-cause analysis within approved scope.\nReview requirements, circuits, models, results, changes, and release evidence for technical quality.\nDrive design reuse, automation, quality, reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.\nCoordinate outcomes across design, verification, layout, test, manufacturing, and CAD teams.\nMaintain specifications, design records, review evidence, configuration, and lifecycle documentation.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nMinimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field with 2.5-5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or electronic design, RTL, digital or mixed-signal circuits, architecture, simulation, synthesis, integration, or a closely related area.\nQualified candidates should demonstrate analytical thinking, structured problem solving, technical ownership, clear communication, technical documentation, cross-functional collaboration, quality focus, and sound judgment in design engineering work\nSuccessful candidates are expected to demonstrate:\nEmployment stability, reliability, and sustained accountability in prior roles.\nEffective teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.\nIntegrity and accuracy in representing qualifications, experience, and credentials.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with semiconductor, ASIC, SoC, FPGA, digital, analog, mixed-signal, memory, interface, or IP design.\nExperience with architecture, integration, design reviews, technical leadership, or product development. \nMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.\nTravel Time:\n0% - 25%To all recruitment agencies: Microchip Technology Inc. does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
