Responsible for shopfloor control, manpower planning, and headcount definition to support ramp-up requirements while meeting safety, quality, and delivery targets\nJob Description:\nLead daily execution of start-up operations including pilot runs, engineering builds, and validation lots\nEnsure readiness of 4M (Man, Machine, Method, Material) before line start\nSupervise and control line conditions during start-up phase\nSupport smooth transition from development to volume production\nDefine required manpower based on Production demand (forecasted ramp volume), cycle time and takt time\nDevelop and maintain manpower loading models and schedule per shift/line\nIdentify skill requirements and training needs for new products\nOptimize manpower utilization during ramp (flexibility vs efficiency)\nMonitor daily output, line balance, and operator performance\nReact immediately to process abnormalities (yield loss, downtime, defects)\nEnforce adherence to standard work and updated instructions\nEnsure proper execution despite frequent changes during development\nTrain operators on new processes and product requirements, equipment operation and handling, and critical-to-quality parameters\nBuild multi-skilled workforce for ramp flexibility\nEnsure compliance with EHS standards during start-up and trials\nIdentify risks related to new equipment, temporary setups, and new materials/processes\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field)\nMinimum of 5 years experience in semiconductor\nKnowledge in Production flow and line balancing, manpower planning, productivity analysis, and basic Industrial Engineering concepts (takt time, cycle time)\nStrong shopfloor supervision and control\nAbility to manage operations under uncertainty\nEffective communication with cross-functional teams\nDecision-making under pressure\nHigh sense of urgency (critical in ramp phase)\nDetail-oriented and disciplined execution\nStrong ownership and accountability\nAdaptable to rapid changes and shifting priorities\nAbility to define and justify headcount requirements based on production demand and process conditions\nExperience in manpower modeling, capacity planning, or line balancing\nExposure to ramp environments where staffing needs change dynamically\nFamiliarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control), process validation and qualification, root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone)\nKnowledge of safety protocols and cleanroom practices.\nStrong experience with WLCSP or advanced packaging tools is highly preferred\nProficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems.\nLeadership and mentoring capability\nTravel Time:\n0% - 25%To all recruitment agencies: Microchip Technology Inc. does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
