The successful candidate will join our Wireless Systems Group in Germany and as a senior member of the team, will be responsible for the systems design and implementation of physical layer for low power wireless products. You will be working with a cross-functional global team in a collaborative environment that we take pride in. The position can offer leadership opportunity to qualified candidates.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and simulate communication system and PHY-layer modem algorithms for wireless applications.\nDevelop and validate system models, fixed-point models, and hardware-aware algorithm implementations\nTranslate product and system requirements into clear technical specifications for RF, digital, software, and validation teams\nWork closely with RF/Analog, Digital, Validation and Software teams for bringing-up, testing and troubleshooting of test chips and SOC's\nSimulate communication systems and participate in digital block design\nParticipate in RFIP design regarding block specs & controls\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nRequirements\nMasters or PhD in Electrical Engineering\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in design and implementation of wireless PHY systems\nTechnical leadership experience in owning the Modem and DFE sub system is highly desired\nStrong background in signal processing and communication theory\nExperience in MATLAB, C/C++ and fixed-point/cycle-true programming and simulation\nExperience on Modem and digital front-end blocks design\nExperience in IC design production support, RFIP calibration and testing\nExperience in Bluetooth, UWB and/or WiFi is an advantage\nA team player; able to identify and resolve technical and schedule issues with team members.
