For over 70 years, the Mount Holly Springs facility has been providing solutions for Satellite Constellations, Deep Space Exploration Missions, Military Systems, GPS, Communication Networks, and much more. Due to growth, the team is looking to add another Supervisor to the team to support crystal manufacturing and discrete test.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nSupervises production staff to produce manufactured products while organizing and monitoring workflows to meet production schedules and on-time delivery to external customers.\nAccomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.\nResponsible for employee safety, productivity, workmanship, attendance, payroll, and overall performance.\nWork directly with Supervisors, Management, Process Engineering, Design Engineering, and Quality Engineering as needed.\nProvide leadership to production staff by developing, training, coaching, inspiring, and empowering.\nFunctions as a role model for Microchip Guiding Values and Culture.\nSupports, encourages and ensures Microchip Open Door Policy.\nSupports Microchip’s practices, policies, and procedures, and ensures they are followed consistently.\nEffectively drive continuous and quality-related improvements, cost reduction plans through process improvements, lean manufacturing initiatives, and other actions designed to improve operation effectiveness and efficiency.\nResponsible for promoting and facilitating cross-training efforts and succession planning of employees.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nDemonstrated leadership in manufacturing setting, 2-4 years of supervisory experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering preferred.\nMust demonstrate a working knowledge in manufacturing operations.\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing, six sigma, high volume, high mix/customized products and/or mass customization of product is desirable.\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team member in a fast paced manufacturing environment.\nSolid problem solving skills, strong organization, documentation & writing skills\nCreative thinking, problem-solving, & decision-making skills.\nComputer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, internet access & E-mail.\nKnowledge of professional ethics, including confidentiality policy.\nKnowledgeable in team building, with ability to resolve conflicts, meet deadlines, manage production activities and effectively multi-task in a face paced environment.\nMust demonstrate effective leadership skills, performance management and career development of production staff\nU.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
