People like you.\nVisit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!\nJob Description:\nDevelop, test and validate Embedded software solution for Microchip 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers using C/C++ \nDefine and drive early Application Specific Software Product from concept through implementation readiness.\nEmbed secure-by-design methodologies, ensuring alignment with Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and industry security standards.\nCollaborate with corporate QA and Functional Safety (FuSa) experts to ensure compliance with ASPICE and functional safety standards, such as ASPICE-L3, ISO 26262 or equivalent quality assurance requirements.\nWork cross-functionally with silicon design, system architecture, firmware, and security teams to ensure cohesive architectural decisions.\nSupport architectural trade-off analysis covering performance, power, safety, and security.\nParticipate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and test planning.\nContribute to documentation, specifications, and design guidelines.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems development, semiconductor or electronic product development, or a related field.\nHands-on programming experience in C/C++ and Python, with the ability to write production-quality or prototype-level code.\nStrong experience in Microcontroller, Application Specific Software Product\nAbility to work effectively in cross-disciplinary, fast-paced environments.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction across teams.\nPreferred qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.\nProven knowledge of secure-by-design concepts, threat modeling, and hardware security fundamentals\nHands-on experience or strong understanding of Functional Safety (FuSa) requirements and standards\nTravel Time:\n0% - 25%Physical Attributes:\nHearing, Seeing, TalkingPhysical Requirements:\n80% sitting, 10% walking, 10% standingMicrochip Technology Incis an equal opportunity/affirmativeaction employer.
