The Equipment Engineer will repair, upgrade, and maintain wafer fabrication related manufacturing equipment. This candidate will also select, order, and expedite equipment and parts that are most appropriate and cost effective for maintenance of production equipment. In addition, the candidate will be required to study equipment performance and reliability and help establish programs and solutions for decreasing down-time for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nPartner with Equipment Engineers and Technicians in the day-to-day support of wafer fab equipment according to production priorities.\nParticipates in equipment selection, configuration, installation, and performance monitoring for new equipment purchases and relocations.\nPropose and manage budgets for equipment repair expenses, spare parts purchases and stocking levels and implement approved cost reduction measures.\nWork with EHS department to ensure all equipment installations, maintenance and operation are compliant with all safety and environmental policies and regulations.\nCollaborate with process engineers to optimize equipment settings and parameters for improved yield and quality.\nDevelop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to extend equipment life and reduce unexpected failures.\nProvide technical support and training to production staff on proper equipment operation and maintenance practices.\nWork with equipment vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues and coordinate equipment upgrades and installations.\nMaintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance metrics.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce costs.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, industrial, or a related field)\n2-5 years of relevant engineering experience, often in equipment design, maintenance, or manufacturing.\nExperience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment preferred.\nProficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD or SolidWorks, simulation software, etc.).\nKnowledge of equipment design principles, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.\nFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations related to equipment safety and performance.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\nU.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
