The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting EMC tests for radiated and conducted emissions and immunity according to various international standards. Your scope of work will include maintaining the lab’s operation and ensuring the equipment used is functional and calibrated. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with global teams and support internal customers across the organization.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct EMC measurements for radiated and conducted tests according to a test plan\n\nConsult internal customers EMC test plans, test setups, measurement techniques\n\nWork closely with internal customers to bring up equipment to be tested in our lab and ensure it can be monitored throughout the tests\n\nWork closely with internal customers to identify EMC-related issues and recommend practical solutions.\n\nAssist with the development and improvement of EMC test procedures, tools, and processes to support consistent and reliable results.\n\nStay current on relevant EMC standards, industry practices, and emerging technologies to help guide application support and product development.\n\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus in communications engineering, along with 7.5+ years of relevant industry experience.\nExperience in EMC testing and/or RF testing\nBe familiar with automotive EMC standards and common EMC test setups on component and IC level.\nProficiency with advanced RF measurement techniques and the respective laboratory test & measurement devices\nEager to learn new skills and technologies, with a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop practical solutions\nAble to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, including creating easy-to-understand technical documentation\nComfortable communicating and collaborating with team members from diverse language backgrounds\nCollaborative team player who works well across functions, teams, and geographic locations\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with a control SW for automated EMC testing\nExperience with script language programming, e.g., Python\nTravel Time:\n0% - 25%Physical Attributes:\nHearing, Seeing, Talking, Works Around OthersPhysical Requirements:\n10% Standing, 10% Walking, 80% Sitting, 100% Inside-MF 8-5PMMicrochip Technology Incis an equal opportunity/affirmativeaction employer.
