This position will lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals across multiple manufacturing sites in the US to supply essential goods and services for critical operations.\nEssential Functions\nPlan, direct, and coordinate purchasing activities for materials, products, and services.\nEnsure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements, including ITAR.\nDrive continuous improvement in procurement processes to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance cost savings.\nManage suppliers and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely purchase order placement, order maintenance, and resolution of supplier related issues.\nBuild and maintain strategic supplier relationships that ensure reliable delivery, competitive pricing, and long-term partnership value.\nMonitor supplier performance through key metrics including on-time delivery, quality defect rates, and responsiveness.\nNegotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements\nEnsure that purchased materials and services conform to or meet the specified requirements.\nCollaborate with finance, operations, engineering, planning, quality, and other departments to align procurement with organizational needs\nParticipate in and lead department audits.\nDevelop, monitor and measure annual and quarterly goals for the team.\nThis position has the authority and responsibility for obligating Microchip Technology via purchase order and contract commitments.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a business discipline\n5+ years of supply chain management job experience\n5+ years of manager or supervisor experience\nProficient with MS Office products; Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint\nStrong organizational, documentation, and writing skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nStrong presentation skills\nAble to contribute as a reliable and effective team member with minimal supervision\nAble to coordinate multiple facets of the operation\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree, Supply Chain or Supply Management\nStrong familiarity with ERP/procurement systems and AI-assisted sourcing tools\nStrong familiarity with Defense and Aerospace procurement\nAnalytical skills for spend analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment\nCritical Physical Requirements\nSit 80%; stand 10%, walk 10%; must be able to perform activities that include hearing, talking, seeing.\nThis position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.\nTravel Time:\n0% - 25%\nPhysical Attributes:\nHearing, Seeing, Supervises Others, Talking\nPhysical Requirements:\nSit 80%; stand 10%, walk 10%; must be able to perform activities that include hearing, talking, seeing.\nThis position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.Travel Time:\n25% - 50%Physical Attributes:\nBending at Waist, Carrying, Crouching, Hearing, Kneeling, Lifting, Other, Reaching, Supervises Others, Works Alone, Works Around OthersPhysical Requirements:\n50% sitting, 25% standing, 25% walkingPay Range:\nWe offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.
