People like you.\nVisit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!\nJob Description:\nJob Description:\nMicrochip CAD is seeking to employ a CAD Engineer to develop and support for Digital and Analog Mixed Signal design flow and methodology for advanced technology nodes.\nA successful candidate in this role will be responsible for developing and implementing CAD flow and methodologies as per the design team’s requirements. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the tools and flows required for the design and development of Digital and Mixed Signal designs. He or she will also be knowledgeable about design infrastructure and the implications to environment and work practice.\nHe / She will work closely with various business units across the globe to understand their needs and foster innovative ideas to solve complex problems.\nResponsibilities:\nWork closely with Microchip BU teams to ensure Microchip’s digital and mixed signal design flows and tools are robust and reliable.\nProvide front line support for other Microchip staff in the use of these tools and flows\nProvide an interface with external tool vendors and suppliers to resolve issues and provide guidance as needed\nDevelop, test, and release scripts and tools as specified to aid in digital or mixed signal design\nDocument or otherwise archive developed material for future use or re-use\nSuch other comparable duties as may be required by Microchip management\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nRequirements:\nGood understanding of Analog Mixed Signal(AMS )circuit design (DoT and AoT) methodologies\nMixed Mode Simulation Environments:Cadence VerilogA, Verilog AMS\nSynopsys VCS, VCS-AMS\nSiemens Symphony AMS \n\nIO and standard cell characterization\nMust be experienced with EDA tools, specifically Cadence Liberate, Liberate-AMS, Synopsys Primelib, Virtuoso, ADE, or their equivalents\nAbility to conduct simulation tools/flows related training and automation preferred\nExperience with Verilog and mixed signal simulations\nMust be experienced with EDA tools, specifically Cadence Xcelium, Siemens Questa, Synopsys VCS or their equivalents\nDesign debugging skills using Verdi, Simvision and Visualizer\nExposure to EDA simulation tools like Primesim, Spectre, SpectreX etc. is preferred\nStrong experience in Design Automation using scripting languages like Perl,TCL, Shell, Python etc. is required\nMust be familiar with Linux OS, grid computing concepts such as LSF\nExcellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail\nTravel Time:\n0% - 25%To all recruitment agencies: Microchip Technology Inc. does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
