This role is ideal for a software engineer with 10 - 15 years of experience who is passionate about architecting and developing embedded software for high-precision timing and synchronization systems.\nJob Responsibilities: \nTranslate product requirements into scalable and modular embedded software architecture.\nLead the design and implementation of reusable embedded software components for precision timing systems.\nDevelop, debug, test, and optimize embedded software with a focus on reliability and performance.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and test engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.\nDrive root-cause analysis and resolve software defects discovered during integration and system testing.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.\n10+ years of embedded software development experience.\nStrong proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python or Bash\nExperience with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD practices.\nStrong debugging, analytical, and problem solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with embedded networking, TCP/IP protocols, and network-based timing technologies such as NTP or PTP.\nExperience developing secure software for embedded or network-connected systems.\nFamiliarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) or embedded Linux environments.\nExperience with Yocto Project - based embedded Linux development and build system customization.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.\nAbility to manage technical priorities across multiple concurrent development efforts.\nITAR Requirements\nMust be US citizen or permanent resident.\nU.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
