People like you.\nVisit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!\nJob Description:\nReports to facilities operations and maintenance engineer or to shift leader.\nOperates, maintains and repairs facilities equipment with minimum cost and downtime at optimum efficiency.\nHighlights any event, condition or incident that could affect the reliable, continuous and efficient operation of facilities equipment.\nPerforms routine inspection facilities equipment and reports abnormalities.\nMonitors contractors’ activities and ensure all activities conform to established safety policies and quality standards\nTimely responds to any production concern about the facilities and the building, resolves any issues found and deploys technicians/manpower when necessary.\nAutomatically acts as shift-in-charge in the absence of a designated shift supervisor.\nPrepares reports for any trouble or untoward incident that happened within his shift.\nValidates records and information gathered and reported by the Technicians.\nInitiates and assists on improvement of individual and group performance.\nInitiates communications with production for any projects, unplanned shutdowns, or emergencies that could affect the operations.\nInitiates and/or suggests system’s improvements that will result to cost savings, eliminate safety hazards, and maximize equipment life.\nSubmits performance appraisals of technicians (outsource).\nInitiates disciplinary actions for any infraction committed by technicians (outsource)\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nMust know and understand electrical and/or mechanical concepts, practical uses, methods, standards and procedures.\nMust know how to identify, analyze, troubleshoot and repair electrical and/or mechanical problems.\nAble to read, interpret and analyze electrical and/or mechanical diagrams.\nMust know how to use common electrical and/or mechanical testers, tools and gadgets.\nMust know, understand and follow mechanical and electrical safety procedures\nAble to lead his team to achieve objective byinitiating small group activities for facilities concern.\nDocumentation and reports preparation\nComputer literate.\nPreferably college level in an engineering course or graduate or undergraduate of the following technical or vocational course: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics technology\nMinimum 6 years’ work experience in related fields.\nProficient in MS office \nBasic knowledge on operations, maintenance and troubleshooting of the ff:Compressed dry air system, air-conditioning system, process vacuum\nUPS systems, generators / emergency power systems, high voltage systems\n\nMust know how to use common electrical & mechanical tools\nMust know how to identify, analyze, troubleshoot and repair mechanical / electrical problems.\nTravel Time:\n0% - 25%To all recruitment agencies: Microchip Technology Inc. does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
