People like you.\nVisit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!\nJob Description:\nMicrochip’s Frequency and Timing Systems (FTS) Business Unit is the world’s leading provider of precise timing and synchronization solutions for telecom, wireless, military, scientific, and enterprise systems.\nWe are seeking a Software Engineer with good Web GUI development experience to help design and develop modern, secure, and scalable user interfaces for embedded and network-connected systems.\nThis role is ideal for an engineer with approximately 5+ years of experience developing Web applications using ReactJS and related front-end technologies, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and software vulnerability management.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\n2.5 - 5 years of professional software development experience.\nStrong experience developing Web GUI applications using ReactJS.\nProficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.\nExperience with REST APIs and client-server web application architecture.\nExperience using Git-based source control and modern development workflows.\nStrong debugging, analytical, and problem solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with cybersecurity-focused software development practices.\nFamiliarity with security scanning tools such as Black Duck, ZapTool, or similar platforms.\nUnderstanding of OWASP published security risks and secure web application design principles.\nExperience developing secure software for embedded or network-connected systems.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.\nU.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
