You will establish and continuously improve the MDE operating model, workforce strategy, organizational capability, and execution systems required to support future technology roadmaps.\nIn support of Micron's AI transformation strategy, this role is expected to champion AI-enabled ways of working, promote responsible adoption of AI and automation technologies, and build organizational capability in leveraging AI, data analytics, and digital solutions to improve decision quality, operational effectiveness, workforce productivity, and technology development execution.\nYou will work closely with Technology Development, Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Equipment Development, Quality, and other cross-functional organizations to accelerate technology readiness and achieve business objectives.\nResponsibilities\nOrganizational Leadership\nDefine and execute the strategy, operating model, and priorities for the APTD MDE organization.\nLead and develop a high-performing organization supporting DLT, MRDA, and WLT.\nDrive workforce planning, organizational capability, succession planning, and leadership development.\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, execution.\nEnsure effective execution of development priorities while meeting quality, safety, and business objectives.\nEstablish clear ownership, governance, escalation processes, and decision-making mechanisms.\nOptimize resource allocation, technical capability, and operational effectiveness to improve development velocity and execution predictability.\nMulti-Shift Operations Leadership\nLead an organization operating across rotating day and night shifts to support continuous technology development execution.\nEnsure effective communication, leadership alignment, disciplined shift handoffs, and execution continuity across all shifts.\nProvide leadership oversight for workforce capability, employee development, and operational performance throughout the technology development, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, manufacturing operations, or advanced packaging.\nStrong knowledge and demonstrated experience in advanced packaging technology development.\nProven success leading engineering organizations through managers, lead engineers, and technical leaders.\nDemonstrated ability to establish organizational vision, execute strategy, and deliver business results.\nExperience leading complex cross-functional programs and resolving technical and organizational challenges.\nProven track record in talent development, leadership coaching, succession planning, and building high-performing organizations.\nStrong technical judgment, problem-solving capability, and data-driven decision-making skills.\nExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.\nDemonstrated ability or willingness to leverage AI, automation, digital tools, and data analytics to improve decision making, problem solving, operational effectiveness, and workforce productivity.\nAbility to promote responsible AI use consistent with company policies, data protection requirements, information security standards, and ethical business practices.\nAbility to communicate effectively in English.\nEducation and experience\nMaster's degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline, with 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience.\nOR\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline, with 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience.\nWork Schedule\nThis position follows a regular day-shift schedule.\nThe organization supported by this role operates across rotating day and night shifts.
