As a Senior/Staffengineer, you will be a part of revolutionary next generation NAND research & development dry etch team driving critical modules listed below. The position promises ample opportunitiesfor innovation, collaboration and testing a new dimension and scaling with next generation NAND. You will work directly with process integration and other process areas such as Wet etch, CVD, Diffusion, Metals, Lithography & CMP. You will work on state of the artand best in class dry etch chambers & own the process roadmap to meet program and yield goals. Your responsibilities include, but notlimited to:

Job Responsibilities:

• Developing dry etch processes to meet the physical & electrical requirements of Micron’s products.

• Optimizingdry etch processes to reduce cost, process variability, and improve process capability

• Collaborating with process integration and other process development teams to develop innovative new solutions

• Conducting root cause and failure mode analysis to understand the limitations of current hardware and driving vendors for solutions

• Performing fundamental research to drive innovative solutions for next-generation products

• Maintaining a technology development pilot manufacturing line

• Support process transfer to production facilities (some domestic and/or international travel may be required)

Qualifications & Skills:

• Demonstrateresearch and development aptitudein science and engineering fields

• Examples ofexperimental design and data analysis

• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

• Ability to use extensive technical knowledge to guide strategic directions

• Ability to resolve complex issues through root-cause or model-based problem solving

• Proficiencyin statistics(preferred) and in statistical process control

• Ability to work independently, with minimal direction, and a focuson meeting commitments

• Ability to multi-task and manage numerousprojects simultaneously

• Fundamental knowledge of at least one of the following: transport phenomena, dry etch processing, kinetic theory, statistical thermodynamics,or plasma physics

• Data science basics / Python coding / GenAI programming is desirable

• Strong computer skills, including MSOffice

Education

• Masters with minimum2 yearsof relevant experience involving dry etch in semiconductor industry/ PhDin Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, Physics, Chemical physics, Chemistry, Semiconductor engineeringor relevant majors.

• Bachelorsin Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, Physics, Chemical Physics, Chemistry, Semiconductor engineeringor relevant majors with minimum5 years of relevant experiencein dry etchprocess
