The engineer will work closely with operations, maintenance teams, and suppliers to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient movement of materials throughout the factory. Systems supported include Overhead Hoist Transport (OHT), Stockers, Sorters, Smart Load Ports, and other factory automation equipment.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitor and support daily AMHS operations to ensure high system availability and reliability.\nTroubleshoot equipment and system issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.\nSupport preventive maintenance and recovery activities for AMHS equipment.\nAnalyze equipment performance data and identify improvement opportunities.\nParticipate in continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, safety, quality, and cost performance.\nDevelop and maintain engineering documentation, SOPs, and training materials.\nCollaborate with manufacturing, facilities, IT, and equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues.\nSupport equipment upgrades, new installations, and technology deployment projects.\nEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.\nParticipate in factory support activities, including critical event handling when required.\nIntegrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.\nContributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work\n Preferred Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nWillingness to learn automation technologies and semiconductor manufacturing processes.\nFamiliarity with AI, machine learning, data analytics, or automation technologies through academic projects, internships, coursework, or personal initiatives.\nExperience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, data analytics platforms, coding assistants, or automation tools) is an advantage.\nBasic programming, data visualization, or data analytics skills using tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, or equivalent.\nInterest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron\nEmbody Micron’s core values:People - Respect, develop, and empower others \nInnovation - Drive continuous improvement and breakthrough thinking \nTenacity - Show grit and determination \nCollaboration - Build trust and foster teamwork \nCustomer Focus - Deliver excellence and value\nSpeed - Act with purpose and set the pace\n\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
