ID:\nJR70144 Engineer - Central Strategic PlanningAt Micron, we are searching for an outstanding Engineer - Global Quality (GQ) Operation Lab Strategic Planning, to join our highly skilled team.\nAs strategic planners, we are responsible to own and run the assessment and the planning of securing GQ Ops resources: the required budget, capacity, and headcount, using engineering skills. Constantly be aware of both the product roadmap and the operation needs to suggest and coordinate the best path forward plan with relevant partners in the execution team as well as the management team.\nBe a fast learner in understanding operation metrics, indices, and process to translate the operations needs for long term two-to-three-year plan. We identify risk to the strategic plan early and discuss with key partners for the most optional mitigation and preventive plan.\nWe need to be quickly familiar with the detail business process on how to secure the required said resources. We apply strong collaborations with various partners from manufacturing team, lab operation team, engineering team, equipment support team, procurement team and finance team.\nWe have plenty of opportunity to be involved in the Digital Transformation for GQ Ops central planning systems to provide near real time headcount, capacity, and budget resources requirements. We will be influencing how the system is designed to check performance to plan to ensure that the long-term-plan is updated to the latest situations with each cadence. Join us now!\nResponsibilities and Tasks\nTake ownership of the offloading and optimization process across countries for GQ operations. Collaborate with global labs, engineering teams, equipment support, and partner central teams.\nOwn and handle centralized quarterly strategic planning budget, capacity and headcount statement of up to 3 years horizon for Global Quality Lab Operations.Comprehend operations needs including changes in the pipeline.\nComprehend Micron product roadmap needs.\nSuggest and initiate potential improvements in the planning of the resources required through collaboration with partners from various team such as engineering, production, equipment support, procurement, and finance team.\nSetup and own global equipment and headcount modelling\n\nDigital Transformation for GQ Ops central planning systemsAnalyze current and the required future processes and systems that is instrumental to give insights on (1) resources requirement and (2) opportunities for improvement that support business needs.\nInitiate collaboration to scope out system requirements.\nCollaborate with main partners to plan for digitalizing systems.\nCommunicate status of projects.\nReport issues, risks, changes, and drive initiatives for recovery, mitigation, and preventive measures.\nAssist with documentation and training needs for new processes.\nManages projects to ensure desired results are completed within the required timeframe.\n\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering & management, engineering, supply chain, or related field and/or equivalent experience.\nTwo years of experience in planning or planning-related function, preferably within Micron.\nPreferably with experience or at least willing to learn, in the following areas:Familiar with database management system\nStrong skills in data presentation (Tableau, Power BI).\n\nStrong critical and analytical thinking skill.\nStrong problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task and handle numerous projects simultaneously.\nAble to work in numerous areas of a development cycle as part of a team or independently.\nHigh adaptability and flexibility to take care of variety of problems in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong interpersonal skills.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.\nValidated leadership skills.Able to collaborate in various cultures to drive projects forward and to completion.\nAble to articulate problem statement and address root cause.\nAble to apply creativity and innovation into solutioning as needed.\n\nSelf-motivated, strong ownership and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\nVery high attention to detail and data accuracy and quality.\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
