The Engineer, Customer Validation supports the development and maintenance of automated validation infrastructure used to assess Enterprise SSD interoperability, functionality, and reliability across customer-relevant storage environments. This role contributes to cross-platform test automation, characterization of test environments, and validation of SSD products across different platforms and OSes. Success in this role requires structured problem-solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve validation coverage, product quality, and release readiness.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain interfaces for new test equipment, validation tools, and automation frameworks.

• Define, plan, and execute automated test strategies that improve coverage, scalability, and validation efficiency.

• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, test, and product teams to develop robust validation solutions aligned with product features and customer requirements.

• Troubleshoot SSD, software, and platform integration issues by reproducing failures, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions.

• Evaluate and enhance validation methodologies to improve defect detection and shift failure discovery earlier in the development lifecycle.

• Identify and implement automation opportunities that improve test scalability, repeatability, and execution efficiency.

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain clear documentation of test methodologies, workflows, validation results, and lessons learned to support knowledge retention and traceability.

• Support Agile development activities including planning, execution tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across global sites and time zones.

AI Responsibilities

• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising good judgment and aligning with organizational standards and legal requirements.

• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or higher in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

Technical Skills

• Python programming and object-oriented software design principles.

• Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems.

• Structured problem analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective action implementation.

• Clear technical communication and documentation skills.

• Cross-functional collaboration and teamwork.

• Adaptability in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Windows or Linux kernel, driver, or low-level operating system components.
• Experience with datacenter server platforms, storage systems, and hardware validation/debug activities is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of operating system APIs including process control, memory management, and device driver interactions.

• Understanding storage systems, NVMe architecture, PCIe, firmware, drivers, CPU, memory, and operating system interactions is an added advantage.
• Experience working within Agile product development environments.
