Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.\nMain Responsibilities:\nWork proactively to solve problems with yield or quality impact on our products through development of measurement recipes that can provide quick and accurate feedback on the product integrity. \nApply advanced analytics techniques to identify and address deviations in machinery and processes. \nEngage in designing experiments to identify defect sources and formation mechanisms, providing insights for defectivity improvement projects. \nCollaborate with engineers from diverse departments to contribute ideas and assist in implementing breakthrough solutions for defectivity improvement. \nApply the latest innovative inspection tools for defect detection, contributing to advancements in semiconductor manufacturing. \nSet up tool qualification criteria and implement monitoring through Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts. \nSet appropriate control chart limits and utilize effective sampling for proactive intervention against machinery and process deviations. \nImplement sampling methodologies to proactively detect and address deviations, ensuring efficient and effective root cause identification. \nCollaborate with Engineering Operations and/or Application teams to optimize tool maintenance schedules and utilization. \nContribute to strategic projects aimed at minimizing products at risk and improving overall product quality. \nDevelop and run projects crafted to enhance inline detection, improve efficiency, reduce cost, reduce tool measurement variability and improve machine availability. \nPartner with the tool suppliers and owners to explore innovative ways of doing things to overcome the challenge of the shrinking technology nodes. \nSupport Fab through data analysis, providing knowledgeable summations of results and recommendations on how to proceed with process changes, equipment availability improvements and cost reduction work. \nEnsure engineering team is trained on recipe maintenance, tool recovery, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities for the assigned tools. \nIntegrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements. \nContributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work. \nRequirements:\nBachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required \nStrong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills \nEffective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels \nGrowth mindset with a passion for continuous learning \nInternship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus \nDemonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable \nInterest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred. \nCapable of working on a flexible schedule (e.g. compress shift) \nCandidates with relevant experience is preferred.\nAbility to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes. \nEmbody Micron’s core values:\nPeople - Respect, develop, and empower others \nInnovation - Drive continuous improvement and breakthrough thinking \nTenacity - Show grit and determination \nCollaboration - Build trust and foster teamwork \nCustomer Focus - Deliver excellence and value \nSpeed - Act with purpose and set the pace\nWhat to Expect\nMicron is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
