Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.\nAs a PDE MRDA KEG Engineer / Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, qualifying, deploying, and sustaining advanced defect inspection and metrology solutions that support New Product Introduction (NPI), HBM technology ramps, and High Volume Manufacturing (HVM). You will drive inspection capability readiness, equipment performance improvement, and defectivity reduction through close collaboration with cross functional team. The role requires strong expertise in semiconductor manufacturing, defect inspection technologies, data analytics, equipment qualification, and cross-functional problem solving to enable industry-leading process control and yield performance.\nInspection Technology & Equipment Ownership\nManage advanced inspection and metrology platforms throughout package development and manufacturing.\nDevelop technology roadmaps and capability strategies to meet future packaging requirements.\nDrive equipment lifecycle management, capacity planning, and technology insertion activities.\nEquipment Qualification & Deployment\nLead tool installation, qualification (TIQ), release, and production readiness activities.\nEstablish equipment acceptance criteria, qualification methodologies, and deployment plans.\nDrive tool-to-tool matching and network standardization initiatives.\nDefectivity Engineering & Yield Improvement\nDevelop inspection solutions to detect, monitor, and reduce critical defect mechanisms.\nSet up defect metrics, observation methods, and continuous advancement plans.\nData Analytics & Digital Transformation\nManage and improve MRDA data systems and engineering applications related to Advanced Packaging and Conventional Packaging technologies.\nEnable seamless integration of inspection, metrology, manufacturing, and quality data for defect traceability and analysis.\nDrive development of dashboards, analytics platforms, and automated workflows to support operational and engineering excellence.\nEstablish data governance, standards, and guidelines to ensure scalable and reliable MRDA solutions across the network.\nApplying Artificial Intelligenceand advanced analytics to improve defect detection, prediction, and process control efficiency.\nTechnology Development & NPI Readiness\nSupport technology development programs in HBM, Advanced Packaging, and Conventional Packaging.\nEnsure inspection and metrology tool readiness for NPI, pilot builds, and manufacturing ramps.\nSupplier & Industry Engagement\nCollaborate with equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues and improve tool performance.\nEvaluate and introduce next-generation inspection technologies and solutions.\nLead technical reviews, address blocking issues, and manage ongoing improvement initiatives with suppliers.\nCross-Functional Leadership & Program Management\nPartner with Process, Equipment, Manufacturing, Quality, Automation, and Global Engineering teams.\nLead project execution, risk management, and achievement delivery for central initiatives.\nInfluence collaborators and drive alignment across sites and organizations.\nRequirements\nBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or related field).\nDeep understanding of semiconductor equipment performance, process integration, and manufacturing operations.\nExperience driving equipment qualifications, technology transfers, and manufacturing ramp readiness.\nStrong supplier management and collaborator engagement skills.\nDemonstrated ability to influence technical strategy across multiple organizations and sites.\nStrong communication, problem-solving, and executive presentation skills.\nAbility to operate effectively in highly matrixed global organizations.\nAbility to bring to bear AI, analytics, and automation to drive manufacturing excellence and efficiency.\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
