Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.\nThe PDE Process Integration (PI) Engineer is responsible for driving process integration excellence for High Bandwidth (HBM) products during New Product Introduction (NPI). This role ensures robust process readiness, yield ramp, and cross-module integration across PostWafer FinishingPWF, assembly, and test, enabling successful execution of HBM technology roadmaps.\nThe PI Engineer works cross-functionally with Fab, Assembly, Test, Yield, Quality, and central engineering teams to identify risks early, resolve complex integration issues, and deliver NPI milestones on time.\nJob Responsibilities\nIntegrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.\n\nContributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.\n\nNPI Execution & Support\nExecute assigned HBM NPI PI tasks following defined procedures and phase-gate requirements\n\nSupport NPI builds through lot tracking, data collection, and readiness activities\n\nAssist with NPI-to-HighVolume Manufacturing (HVM) handoff activities and documentation\n\nProcess Integration & Yield Analysis\nSupport and execute process characterization, Design of Experiments (DOEs), and window studies\n\nPerform yield, defect, and variability analysis using established methods\n\nSupport root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation for scoped issues\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork with Fab, Assembly, Test, Yield, and Quality teams on assigned integration scope\n\nCommunicate status, risks, and issues clearly to senior engineers and stakeholders\n\nEscalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner\n\nDocumentation & Reviews\nPrepare and maintain technical documentation, trackers, and summaries\n\nContribute to NPI, Model of Record (MOR), and program reviews with clear data and analysis\n\nLearning & Capability Development\nBuild understanding of HBM technology, process flows, and PI methodologies\n\nApply feedback to improve execution quality, technical depth, and ownership\n\nIntegrating Artificial Intelligence\nIntegrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgement and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements\n\nContributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work\n\nJob Requirements, Qualifications/Experience\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related discipline\n\n0-2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process, or product engineering\n\nBasic understanding of semiconductor process flows and process integration concepts\n\nFamiliarity with data analysis and basic statistics (Excel; JMP/Python preferred)\n\nAbility to follow defined NPI procedures and phase-gate requirements\n\nStrong analytical skills, learning agility, and cross-functional collaboration mindset\n\nAbility to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes\n\nStrong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills\n\nEffective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels\n\nGrowth mindset with a passion for continuous learning\n\nInternship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus\n\nDemonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable\n\nInterest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred\n\nAbility to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.\n\nEmbody Micron’s core values:\n\nPeople - Respect, develop, and empower others\n\nInnovation - Drive continuous improvement and breakthrough thinking\n\nTenacity - Show grit and determination\n\nCollaboration - Build trust and foster teamwork\n\nCustomer Focus - Deliver excellence and value\n\nInclusion & Accessibility Statement\nMicron is committed to fair, inclusive, and merit-based hiring.
