Responsible for the installation, functionality, and maintenance of an equipment toolset. This include all the hardware and software in the toolset, as well as the interface to any other systems that the tool must connect to for its proper operation. Maintain the tool performance as measured by availability to production and primary quality metrics. Complete all required safety training and conduct all work in accordance with safety policies and regulations. Follow-up on safety and quality related issues and work toward resolution with stakeholders. Perform and facilitate audits. Reduce incidents of personal injuries, safety hazards or environmental releases. Operate and maintain tools according to documentation and guidelines to ensure safety and quality expectations are met. Ensure proper tool documentation/reaction mechanisms exist for shift teams and submit updates to content. Maintain a constant improvement program for defect reduction/yield improvement. Review and document XLD issues to ensure root cause, follow-up documentation, and communication across TD & HVMs. Review and identify hardware related failures and create and execute plans to fix root-cause. Partner with suppliers to resolve tool problems, defect issues, and maximize tool availability. Improve communication and collaboration with vendors and area, department, and network partners. Collaborate with supervisors and areas leaders to create personal performance and development goals. Communicate proactively with ME shift and Shift Ops leaders on the daily priorities and issues. Attend and participate in DAM, CIP, TPM Core Team, Tool Install and other meetings. Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure Microns best interests are met. Partner with Process Engineers and shift Engineers/Technicians to gather input for area improvement. Communicate changes made to equipment and follow business rules for change control. Partner with HVMs in data collection, gap analysis, and improvement implementation as part of Benchmarking activities. Communicate issues that could cause yield loss, excursions, defects, tool restrictions, or output loss. Ensure pass down is updated and accurately reflect the work instructions to shift each day. Analyze data to make critical decisions and drive cost reduction activities. Provide troubleshooting support for complex problems and address root causes. Serve as a key area resource for technical support and/or providing required technical resources to support TD requirements. Identify and develop a strategy for each workstation that will streamline PM frequencies. Partner with HVM sites to identify gaps and opportunities for workstation efficiencies, such as reviewing SPC, ETI, MAMs and Y3 to identify PM frequency optimization opportunities. Manage and track all installations, upgrades and evals. Maintain tool matching and drive machine hardware and s/w consistency. Plan for required capacity and product mix by ensuring equipment is capable of running variance as projected. Manage all BOM and SAP PM lists to ensure they are accurate and up to date. Provide effective and timely guidance to resolve equipment issues and engage in key problem resolution. Drive a culture of TPM including TPM metrics, WS health reports, CIP items, MTAGs, MOP documents and restoration guides. Manage proper inventory levels including ATIR, dead inventory, kitting BOMs, and vendor recommended spare parts.
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires:
1. Pump, Abatement, or Chiller equipment hands-on troubleshooting;
2. Safety procedures, EHS policies, and regulatory compliance;
3. SPC, ETI, and MAMs;
4. Maintaining hardware or software consistency across toolsets;
5. Semiconductor development and manufacturing; and
6. Coding, machine learning, or JMP Scripting.
