OPEX Budgeting (Annual & Quarterly)\nLead preparation of the annual OPEX budget for Construction & Facilities, covering utilities, O&M contracts, AMCs, repairs and maintenance, consumables, services, manpower contracts and other operating cost elements.\nPrepare quarterly budget refreshes and rolling forecasts; incorporate operational changes, ramp-up plans, contract renewals, escalations and inflation assumptions.\nBuild cost models and bottom-up estimates with cost owners; maintain clear basis-of-estimate documentation and assumptions.\nAlign budgets to cost centers, GL accounts and WBS elements as per Micron Finance structure; support budget reviews and approvals with the Program Lead and Finance.\nIdentify cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities and incorporate them into budget plans.\n2. OPEX QVS Performance Tracking\nTrack and report OPEX performance against QVS targets on a monthly and quarterly basis, including actuals, commitments, accruals and forecast-to-complete.\nPerform variance analysis (budget vs. actual vs. forecast), identify root causes and drive corrective actions with cost owners.\nPrepare dashboards and management reports for the Program Lead and site leadership; highlight risks, opportunities and spend trends.\nSupport month-end and quarter-end close, and respond to Finance and corporate queries on OPEX performance.\n3. SAP Transactions - PR Issuance, GRN Adjustments & Accruals\nCreate, modify and track Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in SAP with correct account assignment (cost center, GL, WBS), and follow up through approval workflow to PO conversion.\nCoordinate Goods/Service Receipts (GRN/SES) with requestors and perform GRN adjustments, reversals and corrections as required.\nEstimate and post monthly accruals for services rendered but not invoiced; reverse and true-up accruals in line with corporate accounting policies and close calendars.\nMonitor open POs, aged commitments and unutilized balances; drive PO closure and de-obligation of residual values.\nEnsure all SAP transactions are accurate, timely, auditable and compliant with internal controls (SOX / delegation of authority).\n4. OPEX P2P Tracking (PR to Payment)\nOwn end-to-end tracking of the Procure-to-Pay cycle: PR → PO → GRN/SES → Invoice → Payment for all Construction & Facilities OPEX spend.\nValidate vendor invoices against PO terms, contract rates, GRN/SES quantities and service evidence (3-way match); resolve price/quantity mismatches and blocked invoices.\nVerify statutory requirements on invoices, including GST compliance, TDS applicability and e-invoicing details, in coordination with Accounts Payable and Tax teams.\nMaintain a P2P tracker with status, ageing and bottlenecks; follow up with Procurement, AP and vendors to ensure on-time payment and minimize vendor escalations.\nReconcile vendor statements and support vendor ledger clean-up and resolution of disputes.\n5. Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement\nEnsure adherence to Micron procurement, finance and audit policies; support internal and external audits with complete documentation.\nStandardize OPEX processes, templates and reporting; drive automation of trackers and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Excel/VBA, SAP reports).\nPartner with Procurement on contract scope, rate validation, escalation clauses and renewals to ensure commercial accuracy.\n6. AI-Enabled Ways of Working\nUse approved AI tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot, enterprise GenAI assistants) to speed up budget preparation, draft variance commentary, summarize contracts and SOWs, and prepare management reports, while checking all AI outputs for accuracy.\nUse AI and advanced analytics for OPEX forecasting and spend trend analysis, such as predicting utility, maintenance and contract costs from historical consumption and operating data.\nApply AI and automation to P2P processes, including invoice data extraction, automated 3-way match exception flagging, duplicate or anomalous invoice detection, and accrual estimation support.\nFind repetitive OPEX and SAP tasks that can be automated (AI agents, RPA, Power Automate, Power BI) and work with Finance, IT and digital teams to build and scale these solutions.\nKeep financial data clean, structured and well governed so it can be used reliably by AI and analytics tools.\nFollow Micron’s Responsible AI, data privacy, information security and confidentiality policies; never put confidential vendor, pricing or financial data into unapproved tools.\nShare AI use cases and good practices with the Construction & Facilities team and support colleagues in adopting AI-enabled ways of working.\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
