This skill is required to improve defect detection accuracy, reduce false calls, support abnormal lot disposition, and enable faster shift-level response to AOI-related process issues.\nRequired Skill Scope\nUnderstand AOI inspection logic, defect classification, and key recipe parameters.\nPerform basic AOI recipe fine tuning based on real defect images, false call patterns, and escape risk.\nOptimize AOI sensitivity to balance defect capture rate and false reject reduction.\nSupport recipe comparison before and after parameter adjustment.\nIdentify common HBM TnR AOI defects such as tape residue, contamination, placement abnormality, package orientation issue, mark/label abnormality, and visual defect.\nWork with Process, Equipment, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to validate AOI recipe changes.\nDocument recipe adjustment rationale, validation result, and risk assessment.\nSupport shift response for AOI abnormality, lot hold review, and production recovery.\nExpected Capability\nAfter training and practice, shift process members should be able to:\nReview AOI reject images and classify true defect vs false call.\nIdentify which AOI recipe parameter may need optimization.\nPerform controlled recipe fine tune under engineer guidance.\nValidate recipe change impact using sample lots or golden units.\nSummarize optimization results with before/after defect rate, false call rate, and risk notes.\nEscalate high-risk recipe changes when defect escape risk or customer quality impact is involved.\nBusiness Justification\nAOI recipe fine-tuning capability is important for HBM Tape and Reel shift process coverage because AOI directly impacts outgoing quality control, production efficiency, and lot disposition speed. Strengthening this skill will help reduce unnecessary lot holds caused by false calls, improve abnormal response time, and enhance defect detection stability across shifts.
