Micron Technology Virginia is looking for enthusiastic interns to join our state-of-the-art research and development fabrication facility. As one of the most advanced fabs globally, we specialize in various process areas including Wet Etch, Dry Etch, Diffusion, Photolithography, Metrology, RDA, PCVD, CMP, Implantation, and Probe.\nAs a Fab Equipment Maintenance Technician Intern, you will gain a basic knowledge of the semiconductor fabrication process. Interns will be exposed to new technology and the equipment we use in the clean room environment to manufacture the world’s leading memory solutions! Interns receive on-the-job training that includes safety and cleanroom protocol, preventative and corrective maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and our ongoing improvement programs. With knowledge gained, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional sub-teams to evaluate methods to optimize the efficiency of equipment maintenance and repairs.\nResponsibilities and Duties\nComplete required safety training and conduct all work in accordance with safety policies. \nOn the job training for preventative and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment. \nReceive training and participate in area continuous improvement programs. \nPartner with operations technicians and shift engineers/technicians to complete daily priorities that improve learning cycles. \nProvide troubleshooting support for equipment-related problems and address root causes. \nImprove equipment availability by investigating chronic tool problems and finding solutions. \nMaintain documentation on tool status, including observations and work performed. \nPerform and facilitate audits and submit good catches on safety and quality issues. \nEducation & Qualifications\nMust be enrolled in an AAS/Certificate in Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering Technology, or related field of study. \nEncouraged completion of degree between December 2027 and June 2028 \nRelocating to Manassas, VA to complete a 3-month internship \nMust be willing to relocate to Manassas, VA if offered a full-time role after internship. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nStudents enrolled in Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or Instrumentation, Automation programs.\nMechanical proficiency with the ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical systems.\nKnowledge of AC/DC circuits and basic fundamentals of electricity. \nIntermediate PC skills \nUsing Artificial Intelligence\nVeterans with prior service in any branch of the United States Military are encouraged to apply.\nMicron has committed to hire military spouses/domestic partners of actively serving military personnel.\nInternship starts Summer 2027 For Boise/Manassas\nInternship Information:\nOnsite Paid Internship\nRelocation support is available.\nHousing is subsidized\nTraveling costs are covered for your travel onsite.\n12 hr shifts\nSTART DATES (2027)\nMay 17th - August 6th\nMay 24th - August 13th\nJune 7th - August 27th\nJune 14th - September 3rd\nAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
