Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.\nLocation: \nMSB (990 Bendemeer Road)\nDepartment: \nLean Transformation Office\nProject Title: \nAutomation Tool Operational Excellence\nProject Description:\nMicron Manufacturing utilizes an Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) to reduce manual touchpoints and improve traceability, safety, and quality.\nThe intern will have the opportunity to participate in recurring engineering discussions and cross-functional collaboration sessions with the engineering team and various departments. Through these sessions, the intern will contribute ideas and learn how operational challenges are evaluated and resolved.\nThe intern will learn the processes within AMHS and apply problem-solving methodologies, coupled with data analytics, to study practical manufacturing challenges and contribute to improvements in a state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing environment.\nObjective of the Project:\nThe objective of this project is to develop the intern’s understanding of AMHS operations and apply data analytics and structured problem-solving methodologies to identify operational improvement opportunities.\nOpportunities for Full-Time Employment:\nThe intern may be considered for future full-time employment opportunities based on business needs, role availability, and an assessment of the intern’s suitability and performance during the internship.\nProject Scope:\nLearn the functions of AMHS in both Assembly and Test operations.\nGain exposure to data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Python, and Structured Query Language (SQL).\nApply analytical and problem-solving methodologies to identify opportunities for operational and AMHS improvements.\nLearning Opportunities:\nDevelop an understanding of AMHS processes in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.\nLearn how data analytics can be applied to evaluate practical manufacturing challenges.\nGain exposure to cross-functional engineering discussions and structured problem-solving methodologies.\nExplore the use of AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity, data analysis, and problem-solving.\nDeliverables:\nIdentification of opportunities to streamline operations through data analytics.\nIdentification of improvement opportunities within the AMHS environment.\nA summary or presentation of findings and data-driven recommendations.\nImpact of the Project:\nContribute data-driven insights for potential operational improvements.\nEnhance the understanding of AMHS performance and improvement opportunities.\nExplore opportunities to improve operational excellence through analytics and AI-enabled workflows.\nSkillsets Required:\nGeneral problem-solving and analytical skills.\nBasic understanding of data analytics concepts.\nFamiliarity with Tableau, Power BI, Python, SQL, or similar analytics tools is advantageous.\nKnowledge or experience in using AI tools, Generative AI, or AI Assistants to enhance productivity and problem-solving is highly valued.\nCourse of Interest:\nThe ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics and Automation, or a related field.\nDuration of Period:\nThe ideal candidate should be able to commit to a full-time internship period of 4 to 6 months.\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
