Using data-driven insights, market intelligence, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled technologies, the team supports the materials and technologies powering Micron's data retention and storage. They also deliver business value.\nPosition Overview\nAs a Semiconductor Sourcing Intern within Global Category Supplier Management, you will support strategic sourcing activities for critical semiconductor suppliers and materials used across Micron products. You will gain hands-on experience in supplier analysis, market intelligence, category strategy, benchmarking, cost management, risk assessment, and AI-enabled procurement processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams across Micron's global supply chain organization.\nResponsibilities\nSupport semiconductor category management activities through supplier analysis, market intelligence, benchmarking, spend analysis, and strategic sourcing initiatives.\nAnalyze supplier performance, market trends, cost drivers, supply-demand dynamics, and risk indicators to support category strategies and business decision-making.\nDevelop and maintain supplier scorecards, dashboards, reports, and analytical models that improve transparency into sourcing performance, supply assurance, and cost competitiveness.\nCollaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Legal teams to support supplier-related decisions and sourcing activities.\nUse AI-enabled tools and analytics solutions to improve procurement efficiency, data analysis, reporting, and strategic decision-making while promoting responsible AI practices.\nMinimum Qualifications\n0-2 years of relevant experience through internships, co-ops, research projects, academic projects, leadership activities, or professional experience in procurement, supply chain, business, engineering, analytics, finance, or related fields.\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.\nExpected graduation date after August 2027.\nStrong interest in semiconductor manufacturing, strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement, and global supply chains.\nExperience using analytical and reporting tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, or similar technologies.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.\nAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional and global business environment.\nDemonstrated digital proficiency and experience using AI-enabled tools and technologies to support analysis, efficiency, and decision-making. .\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious internship, research, or project experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing, finance, engineering, or business analytics.\nKnowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor supply chains, foundry operations, electronic components, or technology sourcing.\nExperience with spend analysis, supplier benchmarking, should-cost modeling, market research, risk analysis, or procurement analytics.\nFamiliarity with data visualization, workflow automation, dashboard development, or business intelligence tools.\nExperience applying AI tools, automation technologies, or advanced analytics to improve business processes and operational efficiency.\nDemonstrated leadership through student organizations, project teams, research initiatives, community involvement, or work experience.\nThe US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:\n$46.51 - $55.82 an hourAdditional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.\nOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
