Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.\nResponsibilities, but not limited to\nInstall, upgrade database systems, apply patches and implement changes when required. \nDiagnose and resolve database errors ensuring high availability of database systems. \nManage databases access, backups and ensure compliance with database and security standards. \nPerform changes to critical databases related to manufacturing and engineering. \nSupport incident, request, change, and problem management tasks associated with database operations. \nEnsure SLA for incidents and service requests are met with high quality of work. \nEnsure critical metrics, such as breach case target, MTTR and first level resolution target are met. \nProvide oncall support, including outside of office hours. \nPerform business continuity planning and capacity forecast for database systems\nPlan, execute, and validate disaster recovery exercises, failover testing, and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity readiness.\nCollaborate with site customers on new database requirements, problem resolution and data flow requests. \nPerformance tuning of databases to ensure high performance and availability. \nMonitor database performance proactively and perform analysis of cases to prevent recurring issues. \nReview and enhance database monitoring when required. \nDevelop processes and operation procedures related to database operations. \nCreate and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards. \nEngineer solutions and automations to improve productivity and efficiency of database operations and reliability and availability of the database systems. \nIdentify recurring operational challenges, perform trend analysis, and implement preventive measures to improve service reliability and reduce incidents.\n\nRecommend and implement emerging database technologies. \nParticipate in worldwide collaboration for technical sharing and reference architecture alignment. \nIntegrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.\nContribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work\nRequirements\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics/Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems or related fields, or equivalent experience.\nCandidates with 0-4 years of experience can apply. \nGood understanding and hands-on experience in the following areas will be advantageous: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Databases, Linux and Windows operation systems.
