Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.\nResponsibilities & Task :\nPlan, design, and analyze costs of network (wired and wireless), voice, data, and video infrastructure for mergers, acquisitions, and\nnew/existing site construction or expansion.\nDetermine the needs of the site (bandwidth, network, etc.).\nResearch new equipment based on needs and end of life for the equipment based on the IT Roadmap.\nMinimize the cost of new equipment within budget constraints.\nAnalyze, compare, and determine the cost of implementing new technology or services.\nParticipate in the project planning process.\nDetermine, recommend, and coordinate needed equipment (routers, circuits, concentrators, switches, servers, etc.).\nDefine the timeline for interaction with vendors, service providers, and business units for integration of services and systems.\nIntegrate the current design of previously existing network into the Micron enterprise network.\nCoordinate and facilitate the integration and support for new equipment.\nOptimize the performance of new equipment.\nDetermine equipment that needs to be retired and the replacement.\nWork with the global network teams to incorporate Micron standards and best practices into local site network builds.\nCollaborate with the IT Security team. Provide operational support for network (wired and wireless), voice, data, and video infrastructure for the worldwide Micron enterprise.\nDetermine the needs of the site (bandwidth, network, etc.).\nManage and maintain the existing environment.\nIntegrate and support new technology that requires network transport.\nRespond appropriately to alarms, alerts, and notifications for the environment from the management system.\nMaintain the information in the management system.\nManage contractor support personnel in the operational tasks.\nProvide an escalation point for global operational network teams.\nCoordinate with vendors regarding updates to equipment and the equipment lifecycle.\nMonitor the needs of the site (bandwidth, network, etc.).\nCoordinate with vendors, service providers, and business units for upgrades of services and systems.\nOptimize performance of existing and new equipment.\nConfigure and operate equipment that is supported.\nDocument processes and procedures.\nCommunicate the status of the unified network (wired and wireless), voice, data, and video infrastructure.
