As a FAC HVAC Engineering Manager, you will lead our efforts to ensure reliable, energy-efficient, and AI-enabled facility operations. This role is crucial in driving system reliability, capacity readiness, smart facility transformation, sustainability initiatives, and talent development, supporting our ambitious semiconductor manufacturing growth and operational excellence.\nResponsibilities:\nDirect engineering and technical supervision of HVAC systems including chillers, cooling towers, MAU (Make-Up Air Units), AHU (Air Handling Units), exhaust systems, cleanroom environmental control systems, and process cooling water interfaces.\nEnsure uninterrupted function and dependability of essential environmental control systems.\nDrive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.\nLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for HVAC-related incidents.\nDevelop long-term HVAC infrastructure plans to support manufacturing growth.\nPerform capacity planning, load forecasting, and system optimization.\nReview and approve engineering builds, specifications, and technical standards.\nSupport fab expansion, renovation, and capacity increase projects.\nLead energy reduction and utility optimization initiatives.\nOptimize HVAC operating strategies to reduce energy consumption.\nLead implementation of HVAC optimization and smart facility solutions using advanced technology.\nDeploy predictive maintenance solutions for critical HVAC equipment.\nImplement anomaly detection systems to identify operational abnormalities before failures occur.\nLead HVAC engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.\nChampion safety culture within engineering and operations teams.\nEnsure compliance with EHS requirements and regulatory standards.\nConduct risk assessments and FMEA, and support emergency response and business continuity planning.\nLead and develop HVAC engineers and technical specialists, encouraging collaboration across engineering, operations, and manufacturing organizations.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nA Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related area, or comparable professional experience.\nProven experience in managing HVAC systems in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong leadership and project management skills.\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.\nAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPossession of a Master’s degree in Engineering or a similar field, or relevant professional experience of equal value.\nExperience with AI and digital transformation initiatives.\nKnowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and skilled facility solutions.\nStrong knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices.\nDemonstrated success in leading teams and developing talent.\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
