Responsibilities include supervising operations, reviewing and analyzing data, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to improve yield, quality, and efficiency.\nThis role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and principled execution. Shift Process Engineers must have the ability to recognize abnormal conditions and employ detailed problem-solving to troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while adhering to established procedures. Over time, they are expected to analyze large data, discuss the conclusions of the data analysis and then proceed to provide engineering solutions.\nResponsibilities and Tasks:\nComplete required safety training, work safely in varied environments (including uneven terrain and confined spaces), and respond appropriately to potential hazards\nManage semiconductor equipment, perform technical evaluations, and partner with cross-functional teams to monitor, stabilize, and improve wafer fabrication processes. \nCollaborate with and/ or lead engineering teams to improve workstations and apply structured troubleshooting and customer concern paths for process or equipment issues. \nMonitor process indicators (e.g., Statistical Process Control charts, dashboards, alarms) to identify unusual situations and take appropriate action using tools such as Microsoft Office. \nCommunicate clearly, handle time optimally, and follow procedures with minimal direction. \nCollect, review, and document production and process data using computer-based systems to support output, quality, and traceability. \nConduct technical experiments, run process tests, and prepare data visualizations to identify yield and process trends. \nParticipate in shift pass down and cross-functional communication to ensure production continuity. \nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related Science studies\nAvailability for 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), with flexibility to move between shifts or work overtime as needed. Ability to work Night shift.\nAbility to wear cleanroom garments (approximately 20%, depending on department) and occasional PPE such as chemical aprons and face shields (~1% of the time). \nProficiency in applying AI technologies such as Copilot, Claude, etc.\nPreferred Requirements:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related Science studies or equivalent experience, technical certification, military training, or applied coursework in science, engineering, manufacturing, or related fields. \nExperience demonstrating well-adapted execution, data-driven work, or process adherence in manufacturing, laboratory, cleanroom, or other high-reliability environments \nExperience with process monitoring, data interpretation, or Statistical Process concepts (training on Micron-specific systems will be provided upon hire) \nExperience in using Artificial Intelligence tools like MS 365 Copilot, Claude etc\nThe US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:\n$74,000.00 - $145,000.00 a yearAdditional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.\nOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
