Our Realtime Defect Analysis (RDA) team partners closely with manufacturing sites, process integration, process development, data science, and yield engineering teams to improve defect visibility and drive continuous process improvements across the network.\nAs an RDA HVM Process Engineer, you will use advanced defect detection tools, data analysis, and engineering problem-solving techniques to identify process issues and improve manufacturing performance. This role offers the opportunity to influence global operations, collaborate with international teams, and develop innovative approaches for detecting and resolving defect-related challenges.\nResponsibilities:\nAnalyze process flows and inline defect data to identify anomalies and support tool qualification and containment actions\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives through defect reduction, process optimization, and data-driven decision making\nInvestigate process anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions\nDevelop and apply inspection strategies, methodologies, and monitoring approaches to improve early defect detection\nPartner with global HVM manufacturing teams to establish best-known methods and maintain cross-site alignment\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or a related engineering field\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret process and defect data\nEffective verbal and written English communication skills\nAbility to collaborate across technical teams and contribute in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with data analysis, scripting, programming, automation, or data science methodologies\nDemonstrated interest in investigating process anomalies, root cause analysis, and process improvement\nExperience with metrology, defect inspection, or Realtime Defect Analysis (RDA) processes\nProven ability to balance flexibility and persistence while driving technical solutions and operational improvements\nExperience using AI-assisted analytics to enhance data interpretation, anomaly detection, and yield improvement initiatives\nAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
