In addition, you will continuously evaluate operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws. You will work with a talented group of managers, supervisors, employees, engineers and technicians to continuously improve safety programs that allow Micron to achieve world-class safety performance.\nAs a safety engineer, you can expect to have frequent interaction and communication with representatives from regulatory agencies, executive management and general team members. You will work closely with the construction teams, legal department, site operations teams, process engineers, and facilities engineers to maintain company compliance.\nOur mission is to foster an incident- and injury-free workplace by implementing a robust Safety Management System and embracing the belief that all incidents and injuries are preventable.\nWe are committed to creating an environment where every team member goes home healthy and safe each day-and works in a culture built on dignity, respect, and care.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop, implement, and continually improve Micron’s safety programs and operating procedures to assure worker safety, property conservation and compliance with local, national, and international laws.\nLead construction and tool installation projects to ensure EHS requirements are effectively implemented.\nImplement ISO 45001 and TOSHMS management system.\nReview and approve construction and system designs for compliance and integration of safety by design best known methods (BKM).\nConduct detailed risk assessments to identify potential hazards and resolve mitigation strategies.\nEvaluate operations to confirm compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and benchmark industry standards.\nPerform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure the maintenance of special safety standards.\nProvide training and support to employees to foster a culture of safety and inclusion.\nInvestigate incidents and accidents to resolve root causes and develop corrective actions.\nEducation Required:\nBachelor’s degree or above in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\nExperience Required:\n7+ years Occupational Safety and Health experience in Semiconductor or high technology industries is preferred.\nExperience in construction safety design and construction safety management for semiconductor or high-tech plant construction is preferred.\nProven experience in developing and implementing safety programs in an industrial setting.\nStrong knowledge of local, national, and international safety regulations.\nOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and collaborators.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with team members, customers, and management.\nDemonstrated success in managing small to medium sized projects and leading multi-functional teams.\nPossess good organizational and computer skills.\nAbility to self-motivate and work with a minimum of supervision \nFluency in Mandarin and proficiency in English.\nQualifications/Certifications Required:\nCertifications in safety and health management (e.g., Occupational safety management specialist, Occupational health management specialist.)\nISO 14001 / ISO 45001 lead auditor is preferred.\nAI Relevant Job Responsibilities:\nIntegrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and following organizational standards and legal requirements.\nContributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.\nAbility to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and achieving business objectives.\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
