Your ambition and proven expertise will help us develop innovative solutions and advance technology.\nResponsibilities\nBuild comprehensive firmware verification plans for various firmware features.\n\nDevelop white/ grey-box, known, and closed system testing methods to verify and validate firmware features.\n\nAnalyze failures from weekly regressions and perform root-cause analysis, requiring deep SSD domain expertise.\n\nManage test development, test deployment, test automation, and reporting activities.\n\nCommunicate challenges, solutions, and mitigation plans to cross-functional teams and management with clear and effective communication of both technical and non-technical topics.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and guide the team to ensure comprehensive coverage and accurate architectural build.\n\nIntegrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.\n\nContributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.\n\nEstablish strong working relationships with firmware development engineers to improve code quality.\n\nLead a team of technical people, as required.\n\nQualifications\nB.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science\n\n6-8 years of pertinent experience in SSD firmware test development\n\nComprehensive understanding and substantial experience in SSD firmware testing and Python programming\n\nDeep understanding of storage industry protocols and specifications such as PCIe, NVMe, NVMe-MI and OCP.\n\nStrong understanding of NAND flash operation and SSD firmware components.\n\nExperience in validating and debugging NAND, firmware and system-level issues in SSD products.\n\nFamiliarity with Agile development, GIT development flow and branch management.\n\nExperience with automated build, continuous integration, and test automation systems\n\nHighly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results\n\nAbility to work on complex tasks independently with minimal supervision\n\nDemonstrated leadership abilities and the capability to mentor less experienced engineers\n\nAbility to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes\n\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills\n\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, and a great teammate\n\nCandidates with 2-3 years of experience but strong Python programming skills and test development experience may be considered for entry-level positions\n\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
