In this role, you will focus on building intelligent, scalable systems that integrate advanced AI capabilities, including yield analytics and improvement solutions, data ETL pipelines, machine learning/LLM applications, and agentic workflow orchestration. You will partner with multi-functional team members to translate complex business challenges into adaptive, high-performance solutions that employ autonomous agents and workflow automation to drive decision-making and productivity. While your primary focus will be within YMS AI Solutions, the applications and solutions you build will be designed for reuse and scale, enabling enterprise-wide impact across Micron’s global operations.\nWe require a minimum of 3+ years of software engineering experience involving medium- to high-complexity design and implementation. Having experience in the semiconductor industry is advantageous.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support full-stack applications across front-end UI/UX, API, and backend layers, taking ownership of the end-to-end software development lifecycle.\nDesign and implement custom AI agents, reusable agent skills, orchestration frameworks, and automation workflows using modern AI technologies such as large language models (LLMs), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and MLOps.\nTranslate business and functional requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.\nApply and continuously improve software engineering standards and practices, including modular architecture, object-oriented design, clean code, automated testing, code reviews, documentation, source control, and operational excellence.\nTroubleshoot and resolve application, system, and performance issues to ensure reliability and stability.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that create measurable business value.\nContribute to the adoption of innovative solutions, intelligent automation, and modern software architectures.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.\n3+ years of experience building and delivering production web or AI applications end to end.\nProven experience delivering solutions in complex, cross-functional environments and collaborating with data science, robotics, operations, and infrastructure teams.\nProficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Go, Python, Rust, or JavaScript.\nProficiency with SQL and experience working with relational or non-relational data stores, including but not limited to Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.\nHands-on experience with at least one cloud platform, such as GCP, Azure, or AWS, as well as Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native application development, and CI/CD pipelines.\nStrong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, performance optimization, observability, and reliability engineering.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience designing AI agents, multi-agent collaboration patterns, and autonomous workflow orchestration, including integration with LLMs and other AI models to solve complex business challenges.\nExperience designing data ingestion and feature pipelines for AI/ML workloads at scale.\nUnderstanding of Responsible AI principles, model evaluation, observability, and safe AI deployment practices.\nExperience in semiconductor manufacturing, smart manufacturing, industrial automation, robotics, or another high-reliability engineering environment.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nML/AI use cases to progress efficiently from concept to reliable production deployment.\nDelivered solutions create measurable improvements in manufacturing productivity, quality, decision-making, or engineering efficiency.\nAI applications meet agreed standards for security, reliability, maintainability, performance, and responsible use.\nReusable engineering patterns and components reduce delivery time and improve consistency across future AI projects.\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
