You will contribute to platform reliability and scalability through day-to-day engineering, collaborative problem solving, and close partnership with solution architects, project teams, and cross-functional partners.\nKey Responsibilities\nTeam\nCollaborate with a global platform team and customer base\nCommunicate clearly both written and verbally with customers, stakeholders, and vendors.\nService Enablement & Innovation\nStay updated on platform roadmaps and upcoming changes through regular communication with vendors and public forums.\nCollaborate with solution architects to evaluate and adopt new tools and features that accelerate technical solution delivery.\nParticipate in the evaluation of new services and features following SMAI Enablement and Architecture Review Board (ARB) guidelines.\nDocument findings, share insights with platform team members, and contribute structured feedback to vendors.\nApply established and emerging techniques to improve performance and optimization of platform workloads.\nContribute to the design of systems spanning IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - and help diagram and communicate designs with peers and customers.\nPlatform Support & Operations\nMaintain a high standard of service by promptly addressing customer requests with a professional, customer-first attitude and practicing disciplined change management.\nDocument standard operating procedures (SOPs), best practices, and known limitations for the platform team and its customers.\nPartner with SMAI project teams to optimize solutions, including recommending appropriate services for performance, scalability, and extensibility.\nProactively identify inefficiencies through monitoring solutions to help optimize platform costs and resource utilization.\nStay informed about new services and features on supported platforms, contributing to evaluations of their applicability to SMAI workloads.\nHelp develop and enhance platform metrics and observability to surface performance bottlenecks and error-prone patterns.\nCollaborate with partner teams (Cloud, Unix, Network) to ensure smooth end-to-end operations.\nWork alongside SMAI solution architects and enablement teams to support common services, tools, and reusable patterns.\nDeploy repeatable infrastructure with Terraform.\nContribute to AI solutions that simplify and automate business workflows.\nSecurity\nAdhere to security standards to protect Micron's intellectual property and sensitive manufacturing data.\nImplement platform and data security controls, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and other industry-standard security frameworks.\nQualifications\nRequired\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.\nExperience: 2-4 years of experience in Platform Administration and/or Cloud Engineering.\nHands-on experience administering and operating Apache Kafka - including topic management, consumer group monitoring, broker configuration, and troubleshooting streaming pipelines.\nSolid working experience with Kubernetes - including deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting containerized workloads in a production or near-production environment.\nPractical experience with cloud administration on one or more public cloud platforms.\nWorking knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with hands-on experience using Terraform.\nFamiliarity with Machine Learning and Data Science concepts - sufficient to support platforms serving ML/AI workloads.\nFamiliarity with Generative AI or Agentic AI concepts and their infrastructure implications.\nGood collaboration skills and ability to work across teams in a matrixed environment.\nClear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce documentation, diagrams, and technical summaries.\nAbility to work with moderate guidance on technical projects and follow through to completion.\nA continuous learning mindset - staying current with evolving cloud, data, and platform technologies.\nPreferred\nStrong foundation or administration of Unix.\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
