In this role, you will focus on building intelligent, scalable systems that integrate advanced AI capabilities-including yield analytics and improvement solutions, data ETL pipelines, machine learning/LLM applications, and agentic workflow orchestration. You will partner with multi-functional team members to translate complex business challenges into adaptive, high-performance solutions that employ autonomous agents and workflow automation to drive decision-making and productivity. While your primary focus will be within YMS AI Solutions, the applications and solutions you build will be designed for reuse and scale, enabling enterprise-wide impact across Micron’s global operations.\nWe require a minimum of 3+ years of software engineering experience involving medium- to high-complexity design and implementation. Having experience in the semiconductor industry is advantageous.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications across front-end UI/UX, API, and backend layers.\n\nDesign and implement custom AI agents, reusable agent skills, orchestration frameworks, and automation workflows using modern AI technologies such as LLMs, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and MLOps.\n\nTranslate business and functional requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.\n\nOwn the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.\n\nApply strong software engineering practices, including modular architecture, object-oriented design, clean code, automated testing, code reviews, documentation, and source control.\n\nFix and resolve application, system, and performance issues to ensure reliability and stability.\n\nCollaborate with multi-functional team members to deliver solutions that improve business value.\n\nContinuously improving engineering standards, processes, and operational excellence.\n\nContribute to the adoption of innovative solutions, intelligent automation, and modern software architectures.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, software Engineering or a related field; Master preferred.\n\n3+ years building and delivering production web or AI applications end to end.\n\nTrack record of delivering in complex, cross-functional environments, collaborating across data science, robotics, operations, and infrastructure teams.\n\nProficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Rust, or JavaScript.\n\nProficiency with SQL and experience working with relational or non-relational data stores, including but not limited to Snowflake, MSSQL, ORACLE.\n\nHands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (GCP, Azure, or AWS), Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline ownership.\n\nHands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native application development.\n\nStrong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, performance optimization, observability, and reliability engineering.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience designing and developing AI agents, including multi-agent collaboration, orchestration frameworks, and integration with LLMs and AI models to solve complex business challenges.\n\nExperience designing data ingestion and feature pipelines for AI/ML workloads at scale.\n\nFamiliarity with agentic architectures, autonomous workflow orchestration, and integration with LLMs and AI models to solve complex business challenges.\n\nUnderstanding of Responsible AI principles, model evaluation, observability, and safe AI deployment practices.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nML/AI use cases progress efficiently from concept to reliable production deployment.\n\nDelivered solutions create measurable improvements in manufacturing productivity, quality, decision-making, or engineering efficiency.\n\nAI applications meet agreed standards for security, reliability, maintainability, performance, and responsible use.\n\nReusable engineering patterns and components reduce delivery time and improve consistency across future AI projects.\n\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
