Working in a multi-disciplinaryengineering environment you will work with a global teamcreating software for a variety of internal equipment. We are looking for engineers who are hands-on, self-motivated, excited to learn, and grow individually and as a team.\nYou will create software that interfacesto various hardware in bare metal, and Linux environments. You will work with other software engineers and other engineering disciplines to create and support this custom equipment from the ground up.\nResponsibilities:\nOur embedded software engineers are challenged daily with a wide range of challenges and responsibilities. Typical tasks include:\nWorking in cross-disciplinarydesign teams involving software, electrical, controls, and mechanical engineers designing new equipment to meet customer needs.\n\nDeveloping embedded and interface software, providing input to schematic design, reviewing PCB layouts, prototyping circuits, debugging analog and digital hardware, automating testing, developing user libraries to control hardware, and creating documentation.\n\nDesire to understand, debug, and fix issues spanning layers of software, and PCB hardware.\n\nCoding primarily in C, C++, and Python under Linux for various microcontrollers and computing modules acting as the interface to custom hardware.\n\nWork closely with globally locatedsoftware, electrical, mechanical, and control engineers in the design and development of next-generation memory testers\n\nSupporting existing equipment\n\nDevelop/Debug in C/C++ for embedded environments\n\nDevelop/Debug in C++ and Python for the hardware interface environment\n\nUse of lab equipment for design bring-up, characterization and testing\n\nCommunication - written, spoken, creating technical documents\n\nIntegrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, and effectiveness while exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.\n\nContribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within the scope of work.\nMinimum Qualifications \nC, C++ proficiency\n\nPython familiarity\n\nFundamental electrical engineering knowledge\n\nFamiliarity with schematics\n\nFamiliarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, SMUs)\n\nFoundation in Computer Science\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with embedded software tools\n\nFamiliarity with PCB layout\n\nPython proficiency\n\nProficiencywith Linux\n\nProficiencywith GNU toolchain\n\nEducation Requirement & eligibility:\nBachelor’s or Master’sdegree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent\n\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
