This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier category management, pricing analysis, cost and contract negotiations, and strong collaboration for North America, serving as the main point of contact for supplier relations, overseeing supplier performance management, and conducting competitive RFx events and negotiations.\nWe are committed to investing in our team's development and career advancement and are looking for an ambitious person who shares our dedication to excellence and is looking for a phenomenal growth opportunity.\nResponsibilities\nCollaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders and Global Procurement to develop and execute category strategies, including cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and contract negotiations, while providing clear communication at executive levels supported by accurate data.\nSourcing: Source capital and operational equipment and a variety of service offerings; conduct RFx events and apply demand-management principles within established procurement processes.\nStrategy: Develop category strategies focused on savings, value creation, assurance of supply, quality, and supplier performance; conduct should-cost and benchmark analysis.\nNegotiation: Lead negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms, partner closely with Legal to finalize contracts, and drive alignment across teams through strong negotiation strategy development.\nManagement: Oversee relationships with key suppliers, ensuring accountability, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.\n5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management.\nProven negotiation experience with the ability to engage in critical conversations and advocate for Micron’s interests.\nDemonstrated experience in contract redlining/reviewing commercial terms for Service Agreements, Software Agreements, and Statements of Work.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-orientation skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for engaging executives, managers, and subject matter experts.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior experience in the semiconductor industry.\nBackground in artificial intelligence process management.\nExperience with global or regional supplier performance programs, including developing metrics, dashboards, or continuous improvement initiatives.\nAbility to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal direction and strong multitasking capability.\nBackground in data analytics.\nThe US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:\n$101,000.00 - $173,000.00 a yearAdditional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.\nOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
