As a Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) Process Development Engineer, you will play a key role on our Technology Development Taiwan (TDT) CMP team. You will contribute to the progress of our innovative DRAM technology. If you have a passion for semiconductor development and enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, we invite you to join us in defining the future of the semiconductor industry!\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and refine CMP processes to support advanced DRAM technology acceleration.\nCollaborate with diverse teams to develop new outstanding semiconductor devices.\nPerform rigorous process characterization, develop new consumables, and evaluate new hardware.\nConduct groundbreaking research and innovate to contribute to Micron’s extensive patent portfolio.\nDrive continuous process and efficiency improvements to meet yield, quality, and cycle time requirements.\nDirect and manage CMP consumables and equipment suppliers.\nPlan and complete well-designed experiments, presenting results in clear and concise reports.\nMinimum Qualifications\nProficiency in both Chinese and English languages.\nExpertise in CMP process development.\nHands-on experience with CMP polishing equipment, including familiarity with equipment operation, optical metrology, profilometry, common polishing slurries, and polishing pads.\nIn-depth understanding of polishing mechanisms for dielectric and metal CMP.\nStrong knowledge of material properties and characterization techniques.\nUnderstanding of statistics, mathematics principles, and various machine learning algorithms.\nStrong interpersonal communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and effectively on both local and global levels (written, verbal, and presentation).\nAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong interest in research and development with the capability to build production-worthy technologies.\nAI Relative Activity Requirement\nBasic knowledge of AI and Generative AI technologies.\nExperience using Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools.\nAbility to apply AI solutions to optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency.\nStrong digital transformation mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.\nExcellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nEducation and Experience\nM.S. or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.\nB.S. or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience is also acceptable.\nExperience in the memory or logic industry, particularly with CMP, is preferable but not required.\nWe appreciate driven and goal-oriented candidates who notice details carefully and tackle problems in advance.
